Patient: Danny plays LaCrosse. He kept hurting his knee and had to cut down his training and sometimes had to come off when he was needed on pitch.
When we looked at his knee it was very painful but wasn’t injured. It was being overstrained. His strength in his hips was poor so his knee wasn’t supported during fast turns. He thought he’d damaged a ligament but when we showed him how poor his balance was he realised that he needed to be stronger. We sent him a video of his exercises so he knew he was doing them correctly.
Suggesting some orthotics and a strengthening plan was all it took to get to full capability – and probably even better than before!
